I have the opportunity to be the room mom for Remy’s first grade class and usually the parties fall on a non-preschool day. This month, the class is celebrating the 100th day of school on Thursday January 28th. I would like to move preschool to Wednesday January 27th. Please let me know if this is a problem for you. Also, a little change in next years schedule from the one I sent home on the newsletter. Afternoon class is 12:15-2:15 instead of 12:30-2:30. I would like to try to have the 3 year olds in the am class and the 4 year olds in the pm class, but I am flexible if you have a specific need. Thanks!!

Meet Ms. Mandy
Hello!
I graduated from the College of Eastern Utah in Price with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I then continued my schooling at BYU and received my Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
I have been involved in teaching preschool for 15 years now. I am in my 3rd year teaching here at Discovery Days Preschool and before that I taught for 10 years at American Fork Hospital.
I am CPR and First-Aid certified, as well as being certified as a Food Safety Manager.
I wrote grants for the Infants and Preschool programs at the Hospital for 6 years and I am well acquainted with the Preschool Environmental Rating Scales (ECERS) and Developmentally Appropriate Practice.
My philosophy of learning includes the fact that children learn best thru play. I know that preschool is the first experience children have with school and I want to create a safe, loving, happy environment for them. I want them to have fun at school and know that they are loved!

Sick Policy
Just thought I would post a sick policy with Winter around the corner.
I want you to know that I use Sanitizing wipes on the tables after all activities and encourage the children to wash hands after using the bathroom and before and after snack time. I also sanitize the toys at the end of each day.
That being said, when you mix and mingle germs as wee ones do, sickness does arise.
Please keep your child home if they have any of the following:
*Fever within the past 24 hours. This includes a fever that goes down with Tylenol or Ibuprofen, these medicines reduce the fever but the sickness is still there.
*Diarrhea or vomiting with in the past 24 hours.
*Significant Coughing
*Icky gooky yucky runny nose....I know kids have runny noses most of the time during winter, but if it is a significantly yucky one, keep em home. :)
